When you use our App, we may collect:
- Account Information: Your email address and name when you sign in with Google. Sign-in is optional and never required.
- User Content: Loops you create, including titles, categories, and progress status.
- Purchase Information: Purchase tokens for verifying premium purchases. We do not store payment details.
Automatically Collected Information
The App may automatically collect:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Usage Information: How you interact with the App and which features you use.
- Log Data: Error reports and app activity.
Firebase Services
We use Google Firebase for:
- Firebase Authentication: To manage optional user accounts.
- Firebase Firestore: To store and sync your loops for signed-in users.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Store and manage your loops locally on your device
- Sync your loops across devices when you choose to sign in
- Verify premium purchases to prevent fraud
- Improve the App
Data Storage
Local-First Architecture
Your data is stored locally on your device by default. The App works fully offline without an account. No data leaves your device unless you choose to sign in with Google.
Cloud Storage
If you sign in with Google, your loops are synced to Firebase Firestore for backup and cross-device access. Your data is stored in a private document accessible only to your authenticated account.
How We Share Your Information
Service Providers
We use third-party services to help provide the App:
- Google Firebase: Data storage, authentication, and analytics
- Google Play Billing: Processing premium purchases
No Advertising
Lugn does not display advertisements. We do not share your data with advertising networks.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law.
Data Retention
- Your local data persists on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
- If you sign in and later sign out, your local data is cleared. Your cloud data remains in Firestore until you request deletion.
- To delete your account and all associated cloud data, use the "Delete account" option in Settings (requires re-authentication with Google)..
Your Rights and Choices
Data Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Object to certain uses of your information

Account Choices
- You can use the App without creating an account.
- You can sign in and sign out at any time from Settings.
- Signing out clears local data but preserves cloud data for future sign-in.
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data from Settings. This requires re-authentication with Google and cannot be undone.
Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. Firestore security rules ensure that users can only access their own data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
